Coralie Smets-Gary

As founder of PMR Europe, she held for several years sole responsibility for the training operation, the training faculty and the curriculum on all PMR courses. With her partners she broke new ground by developing the program “Principled Negotiation” for mediators/lawyers/negotiators a development that has had a significant impact on mediation and negotiation in Belgium. The Federal Mediation Commission made this program a mandatory step in every mediator’s training path. Coralie currently works full time as a mediator, where she is seen as a leading practitioner in the field, and as a coach and trainer. As a mediator, she is requested by many parties in a wide range of disputes. She is affiliated with the Brussels’ Bar as Honorary Lawyer.

Martine Becker

is Managing Partner of PMR Europe where she is one of the Lead Instructors in mediation, negotiation and dispute resolution (teaching in French and English). In addition, Martine is an accredited mediator in civil, commercial and social matters and a consultant and coach in conflict prevention and management. Martine has authored a number of courses and numerous case simulations used in PMR’s negotiation and mediation courses. Prior to joining PMR, Martine has served more than 14 years as a lawyer specialised in civil and commercial transactions and contracts. She holds a special degree in Economic and Commercial Law and is still affiliated with the Brussels’ Bar as Honorary Lawyer. In 1996, Martine completed the Belgian entry exam for the judiciary and worked one year as a Public Prosecutor affiliated with the Brussels Labour Court.

Aline De Walsche

graduated in law and worked for twelve years in the public sector, first as a consultant for the European Commission (2 years), then at the Institute of European Studies of the Université libre de Bruxelles, as responsible for interdisciplinary research and international relations. She worked for three years in a law firm and is now a full-time partner of PMR Europe. Aline is also a trained mediator.

Tanguy Roosen

former lawyer at the Brussels Bar (1989-1994), is specialized in Intellectual Property and Commercial Law. Currently, Tanguy is in-house counsel for the Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques and for the Société Civile des Auteurs Multimédia–Belgique, organizations dealing with authors and royalties. As certified Mediator in civil, commercial, family and social matters, Tanguy is founding member of the non-profit organization « Trialogues » which combines civil, commercial and family mediation with negotiation tools. As of 2005, he is an effective member and President of the special commission in civil and commercial matters of the Federal Commission for Mediation created by the law of 21 February 2005. He is trainer and coach in mediation and partner of PMR Europe.

Dorothee Caustur

is an attorney-at-law at the Brussels Bar since 1998. Specialized in Insurance law, Responsibilities and Damage Evaluation, Dorothée has a Master in Economic and Insurance Law. Member of the Mediation Commission of the Brussels Bar, she joined PMR as mediator in civil, commercial, family and social matters, trainee and coach.
