This way of addressing conflict is called the Restorative System. During this meeting, everyone—regardless of their role or position—is invited to speak, listen, reformulate, cooperate, seek understanding, take responsibility, and contribute to the collective implementation of the action plan. The process is guided by a facilitator, ideally a community member with little involvement in the conflict, or an external third party.
Public institutions, private companies, schools, co-ownerships, collective housing, families, family businesses:
Bring together all the people involved (closely or indirectly)
Ensure that each person has the opportunity to express the difficulties they are experiencing
Understand everyone’s realities
Repair what can be repaired
Envision the future by fostering healthier, more peaceful connections and ensuring everyone’s safety
Results:
Clarity around challenges and needs, strengthened resources, restored trust, and greater peace of mind
Easier communication and the constructive opening of dialogue
Emergence of a new relational dynamic
Self-regulation of dysfunctions within groups and communities
Prevention and autonomous management of conflicts and tensions
Improved interpersonal skills and collective well-being
